Deepcut is an app for people who like talking about music. Rate albums and songs, and write down what grabs you about a record. Over time it adds up to a profile that captures your taste pretty well.
Download on the App StoreRatings
Half a star can make a difference. Rate albums, songs and artists from half a star up to five. Right next to your rating, you can see how everyone else heard it.
Reviews
Some albums need more than a number. That's what reviews are for. Yours appears on the album's page, where others can read it.
Comments
Every album and song has room for comments. Reply to people directly, and decide for yourself who can reply to you.
Following
Follow friends and people whose taste you trust. What they rate shows up on your home screen. Set your profile to private and you decide who follows you.
Your profile
Your profile shows your latest ratings and your three favorite albums. Add lists of your own, like the best albums of a given year.
New releases
See what just came out and what's on the way, picked by your genres and the artists you follow.
Concerts
Find concerts in your city and filter them by genre if you like. One tap puts a show in your calendar, and tickets are sold directly through Ticketmaster.
Feed
Swipe through songs in the feed and hear a short preview of each. Like the ones you want to remember.
Listen list
Keep the albums you still want to hear on your listen list. Can't decide? Let Deepcut pick one for you.
Good to know
No music subscription needed. You don't need Apple Music to use Deepcut. Search and previews work without it.
Links that land. Share albums, songs, profiles and lists as links. Anyone who has Deepcut goes straight to the right place in the app.
Your data. No ads and no tracking across other apps. You can delete your account from inside the app, along with everything in it.
Premium
Deepcut is free. Premium adds:
- unlimited lists and favorites instead of three lists and twenty favorites
- your top three songs and artists, not just albums
- your Apple Music playlists on your profile
- a heads-up before a new album or a concert comes up
- a badge next to your name
Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription through your Apple account. It renews automatically, and you can cancel it there at any time.
